SCHOOLKIDS SIWM INTO THE RECORD BOOKS
Or anyway, they hope they have! Over the weekend, 6 12-year
olds from 'Best'(see picture), the Bristol English Channel Swim
Team, swum
across the Channel. The watery winners completed the crossing
in 13 hours and 30 minutes. It was a relay, with each swimmer
taking on their own section. They arrived in France at just
after half-past two on Sunday morning - and then went straight
back to Dover by boat, enjoying a celebration meal of tea and
croissants. Now the wait is on to see of their record is
confirmed - but 'Best's Steve Clarke - whose son Lewis was
first into the water - is very confident that it will be.
Excellento! Hope they didn't meet any jelly fish, yuk!
